In the Center’s survey of sports fan behavior and media consumption, for those who watch or follow at least one sport in season, the most popular social media channels were Facebook and YouTube. Sixty-seven percent of respondents cited Facebook and 44% YouTube.

The next most popular were Twitter (34%) and Instagram (26%). They were followed by Snapchat, which was used by 19%.

Also in the mix were Pinterest (4%), Reddit (4%), and Tumblr (3%).

Seven percent cited other sites, and 13% replied that they use no social media channels at all to get sports-related content and information.
