How often do people use their smartphone to purchase products? We asked this question in our yearly Digital Future Survey.

Of internet users who have a smartphone in their household in 2018, 47.2% used their smartphone to buy products at least monthly.

Were there gender differences in such smartphone purchasing? Males were somewhat more likely to use their smartphone to buy products online than females. Forty nine percent (49.0%) of males purchased products on their smartphones monthly or more, compared to 45.4% of females.
