Senior Fellow
Dr. Roland Deiser is an internationally recognized expert on strategy, organizational change, and innovation, with a focus on building strategic capabilities into large-scale systems.
He was the founding Dean of DaimlerChrysler’s Corporate University and is founding Chairman of the Corporate University Learning Network, a consortium of primarily German blue chip corporations that he created in 2000. In 2005, he launched the European Corporate Learning Forum (ECLF), a consortium of currently more than 60 corporations from more than 10 countries who have teamed up to share practices and shape the future of Executive Learning and Corporate Capability Development from a specific European perspective.
Dr. Deiser has published more than 30 articles in scientific and professional journals and books and has been teaching at numerous universities on both sides of the Atlantic. He is currently a Senior Fellow with the Center for the Digital Future at USC Annenberg in Los Angeles and holds a Chair for Organizational Politics and Transformational Leadership at the Danube University Krems (Austria). He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Academy of Management Learning and Education Journal (AMLE).
Dr. Deiser serves on the Boards of numerous companies. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Credit Suisse’s Business School, the Scientific Advisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG, and he is the former Chairman of the Advisory Board of Siemens Mobile Accelerator SMAC (Siemens’ global early stage investment fund for wireless innovation.) He also is or has been working in advisory and board positions with growth companies such as QuestG (a pioneer in bridging the worlds of interactive gaming and corporate education), Rotani (a company providing intelligent access points and residential gateways for wireless home networks for rich media content distribution), NevenVision (a California-based technology company in the space of biometric face recognition and rich media interactive 3D-Animation for wired and wireless applications), Reelplay.com (a virtual marketplace for buying and selling films and Television Programming.)
As an advisor to the music copyright industry, he helped create FastTrack, a global consortium of leading music copyright societies dedicated to building an integrated electronic music copyright management system. He has also served as an expert for the Austrian Government on the development of the local Film, Television and Multimedia industry, and for the German Federal and State Commission on the impact of the Internet on the future of universities.
Roland currently splits his time between Europe and the U.S., with his primary home in Los Angeles, California, and his secondary home in Munich, Germany.
