Web Insight 15: How many hours per week are you actively using the Internet at work?

By 2006 the use of the Internet at work is consuming almost one full workday a week. Of course, many users, based on their jobs, may be using it much more than that. Since 2001 web use at work has increased by about 70%. The increase has been steady each year with the exception of 2002-2003 when there was a drop in Internet use at work, probably due to the change in the work environment because of the "dot.com meltdown." By 2004-05 Internet use at work had recovered and in 2006 had reached its highest point to date.
